My name is Sylvia O'Malley, and I am a high school English teacher. This is my third year teaching English at Morton East High School in Cicero, IL. I graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor's in English Education. I recently received my ESL endorsement at Dominican University and am now working on my Masters of Education, focusing on technology in the education field.
I have always had a passion for teaching, but what really has been interesting to me is teaching during the age of social media. When I was a high school student, social media was vastly different from what we see now- from Twitter to Instagram, more and more people, students and educators, rely on social media to share information on the interwebs.
This blog will focus on my journey by learning about social media in education, which I am taking at Dominican University. I hope you all enjoy it!
